Calgary-HS is a Yahoo group (an Internet discussion group) for home schoolers, and those considering home schooling, in the Calgary area. You can ask any questions you have. This is a great source of information on all aspects of home schooling, including how to get started, dealing with school boards, selecting curriculums, dealing with tough days, etc. etc., and you can even get emotional support from fellow home schoolers who have been there. There are also many activities organized by people in this group, including field trips, BBQ's, park days in the spring/summer/fall, etc. Calgary-hs also has a "Calendar" section where you can keep track of events and activities planned on calgary-hs. And, make sure you check out the "Links" section and the "Files" sections, for much more great hs information.

This Yahoo group is for those considering home schooling, and for those homeschooling young children, and it includes discussion on parenting young children (early elementary grades to newborn). They also organize activities.

Organizing Your E-mail: Also, when using
these Internet groups, usually there are qute a few e-mail messges.
A great way to handle this is described here.
The example is for Calgary-HS, but it will work for all e-mail
groups. Also, these instructions are only for computers with
Microsoft Windows. If you are not using Windows, your local computer
technician should be able to get your computer to do the equivalent.
